The Story

What began as an artistic passion project has evolved into something more. I’m so proud of where I’ve been and proud to be able to share stories through my perspective.

My intention behind every project is simple: understand what you're trying to say, then make images that say it better than words ever could.

Pathos Collective started as something else entirely — a small studio making art objects from materials found on the beach. Capturing those pieces led Lauren to photography. Photography led Lauren everywhere else. Today Pathos is a working editorial and hospitality photography studio based in Los Angeles, California. Brand campaigns, hotel collections, coastal fashion, underwater portraiture, and soon Destination weddings — shot with a decade of training, a BFA and MFA in photography, and work published across three continents. The through line has always been the same: find what a place or person actually feels like, and make that the photograph.
